Sugar is a seasoning made from plants such as sugarcane or sugar beets, and its main component is sucrose. Guangxi, Yunnan, Guangdong, Hainan, Fujian, Taiwan and other provinces, as well as Xinjiang and Northeast China, are the main sugar producing areas in China. Sugar is an important seasoning that can enhance the sweetness and freshness of dishes, add color to products, and serve as the main seasoning ingredient for making dishes, especially sugar beet varieties.

Granularity of white sugar

There are four levels in total: refined, superior, first level, and second level.

  • Coarse grained: 0.800~2.50mm

  • Big grain: 0.630~1.60mm

  • Medium grain: 0.450~1.25mm

  • Fine grained:0.280~0.800mm


1. The grain size should be uniform and not less than 80% within the following range.


2. Grains or their aqueous solutions have a sweet and odorless taste.


3. Dry and loose, pure white, glossy, without obvious black spots.


Classification of white sugar

A、 raw sugar

Using sugarcane and sugar beets to extract sugar juice, simple filtration and clarification are carried out, followed by boiling concentration and central separation to form sugar crystals. It is light brown in color. Sometimes with a hint of molasses or water. It is the main sugar product in international trade. Raw sugar is only used as a raw material for sugar processing and cannot be directly added to food or consumed.


B、 White sugar

Using sugarcane and sugar beet as raw materials (one-step method) or raw sugar as raw material (two-step method), it is obtained by juicing, filtering, impurity removal, clarification (the above steps do not require raw sugar), vacuum concentration and crystallization, de honey, sugar washing, and drying. White sugar is the main variety of edible sugar, and in foreign countries, almost 100% of edible sugar is white sugar. In China, white sugar accounts for more than 90% of the total edible sugar. White sugar is divided into refined, premium, first grade, and second grade.


C、 powdered sugar

Soft white sugar is made from white sugar and raw sugar (which are also directly produced from sugar beets in Xinjiang and other regions), dissolved and recrystallized. Soft white sugar is a popular edible sugar among domestic consumers. It has a soft and delicate texture, with small crystalline particles, and is sprayed with about 2.5% conversion syrup during the production process, resulting in a sweeter taste than sugar. There are three levels of white sugar: refined, premium, and first grade.

White sugar screening mainly involves impurity removal and grading, with a production capacity of 1-50 tons.

Classification: 40 mesh, 60 mesh
