The production process of molybdenum powder is a complex physical and chemical process. Most industries use a process that starts with ammonium molybdate, followed by thermal decomposition and hydrogen reduction. The specific process includes roasting-stage reduction method and ammonium molybdate two-stage reduction method. The reduction equipment used is of two types: fixed bed type and fluidized bed type.
Process flow
Regardless of the process used to produce molybdenum powder, it must meet the production needs of different powder metallurgy products. The basis for measuring the quality of molybdenum powder is mainly chemical purity and physical properties. The main content of physical properties is particle size and bulk density (fluidity). Therefore, the vibration screening machine is indispensable in the molybdenum powder production process.
1、Roasting-stage reduction method
Ammonium molybdate → roasting → molybdenum trioxide → screening → primary reduction → molybdenum dioxide → screening → secondary reduction → molybdenum powder → screening → batching.
2、Ammonium molybdate two-stage reduction method
