Lead tetraoxide (chemical formula Pb3O4), commonly known as red lead, red lead, has a relative molecular mass of 685.60. National standard number: 61507, CAS number: 1314-41-6. It is mainly used as an anti-rust pigment, an oxidant in organic synthesis, and a powder for batteries. It is a bright orange-red powder or block solid. It is insoluble in water, but soluble in hot alkali solution, dilute nitric acid, acetic acid, and hydrochloric acid. It is a toxic chemical.
Screening purpose
Remove incompletely crushed particles and fibrous materials; remove large agglomerated impurities.
Process flow
Lead is heated and melted → made into small lead particles → ball milled at about 20°C → calcined at 300°C and calcined → calcined and oxidized at 500°C → calcined → lead tetraoxide is obtained
Equipment selection
Due to the large output and low occupancy rate of the screened material, two models are generally recommended:
1. WSA-30-100-304 horizontal airflow screen
Equipment output: 3-4 tons/hour
Screening problem: When using a horizontal airflow screen for screening, a stainless steel screen is generally selected, but the working principle of the airflow screen is 960-1100 rpm high-speed rotation to generate centrifugal force and cyclone propulsion force, thereby forcing the material to spray through the screen. The material that passes through the screen is discharged by the finished fine material port. The material that cannot pass through the screen, especially the fibrous material, will often adhere to the screen due to static electricity. On the one hand, it affects the material passing rate, thereby increasing the load of the equipment and the screen. On the other hand, due to the high abrasiveness of the material, the screen will be rotten within 3-4 days;
2. SZS-1500 1S-304 Dual Vibration Source Inline Screen
Equipment output: 4 tons/hour
Screening problems: Since the screens are frequently replaced, the mother-and-child mesh frame is generally recommended, but the mother-and-child mesh frame is heavy and the mesh of the screening net is relatively coarse at 14 mesh, so it is more troublesome to replace the mesh frame and screen than the airflow screen.
